Warranty

About 90% of our wheelchair vehicles are direct from Motability, some are wheelchair vehicles that we have purchased privately or vehicles that we have previously sold. All our wheelchair vehicles are owned by us, they are HPi clear, so they are free from finance; have never been involved in an accident and subsequently written off, and have never been stolen. MOT history and service information can verify mileages too. We can provide you with a HPi report if you wish about your chosen wheelchair vehicle to satisfy yourself with the history of the car.

How do I know that your wheelchair vehicles are safe?

All our wheelchair vehicles are thoroughly checked over by ourselves, this is to make sure all the relevant belts and wheelchair restraints are working correctly or replaced as necessary and the vehicle is in order from our point of view. The wheelchair securing belts are also checked as part of an MOT. We also use an independent garage to carry out our MOT’s, pre-delivery assessments, and vehicle servicing. All vehicles will be seen by them prior to sale, this is to ensure we have sold a vehicle that is fit for purpose, of satisfactory quality, and as described. We choose an independent garage to carry out any work, so that we are not biased in any way. We are also are happy to accommodate pre-booked vehicle inspections that our customers request (at their expense) and for their own peace of mind. We highly recommend DEKRA for vehicle inspections, they are used by Motability themselves and are truly independent and give a true reflection of the vehicle and its condition. We hope that by covering all the above we are doing all we can to alleviate any potential problems with our wheelchair access vehicles, but sometimes things go wrong and need fixing - quickly!

Who provides the warranty on your wheelchair vehicles?

We provide our own personal 'in-house' mechanical warranty. We have spent thousands in the past on branded warranties from some of the biggest warranty companies in the country, only to find that things we would expect to be covered – they don’t! So we then made a decision to offer our own warranty. Most vehicles will come with 6 months or 6,000 miles (whichever is reached soonest) but in any event, any warranty is in addition to your consumer rights. We have wheelchair vehicles in stock that also have manufacturer warranty remaining, so our warranty is in addition to this.

If I have a problem with one your wheelchair vehicles, what do I do?

If you have a problem with your wheelchair vehicle, call us in the first instance. We may ask for the vehicle to be taken to your local garage for inspection and diagnosis, returned to us for assistance or taken to the garage we use for all our servicing and MOT needs. We will then liaise with them to get your vehicle fixed as quickly as possible and pick up the bill.
